More Fun Events Coming Up at OSL!

If you are looking for some family friendly activities as Fall turns into Winter, you have come to the right place. There is always something fun going on at Our Savior.

When you get involved in church activities, you not only open yourself up to opportunities for personal rebirth, renewal and regrowth, but you also create lasting memories with family and friends, help people in the surrounding neighborhood, and make a difference in the community.

We have lots of things going on through the end of the year (like a Youth Lock-In, a Christmas Play, and Much MORE!) that will be fun for you and for your family!

Our Pastor, Executive Director and Board Members will be happy to tell you all about our on-going activities and our up-coming events and projects, as well as our plans for future programs.

Come to Our Savior Lutheran where each person is
LOVED as a Precious Gift from God.

Quick Tidbits
Thank You to all who helped with the Trunk-n-Treat. We had many donations of candy and money, and plenty of volunteers of all ages. To see some great pictures of the decorations, costumes and fun, go to the Official Our Savior Lutheran Facebook page.

You are invited to take part in all up-coming and on-going events!

Annual Youth Group and Sunday School Kids Lock-In
Join us on Friday, November 21st (starts at 7:00 p.m.) This all night activity will include a Pizza Party in the fellowship hall, baking cookies in the kitchen, movies, and other fun and games. Volunteers are needed to help with transportation, supervision/security, activities and snacks. Please call or email Angel Roberts if you can help. *Any children under 13 must have a parent chaperon stay with them.

Thanksgiving Week Youth Bake Sale
On Sunday, November 23rd the Youth Group and Sunday School Kids will be selling a variety of treats, cookies and other baked goods made with love by them during the lock-in. Get your Thanksgiving Desserts without spending hours in the kitchen! Thanks for your support.

Quarterly Congregational Meeting
There will be a Voters Meeting following the worship service on November 23rd, 2014. This meeting will be for the purpose of reviewing the proposal for next year's budget, discussing current business and bringing up new business. Your participation is encouraged.

Midweek Word & Prayer...
Members, family and friends are invited to meet Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the church basement. In this informal setting we study God’s Word, pray, sing, and snack. Currently we are studying 1st Peter – 10 crucial insights for Christian Living in a Non-Christian Culture. We invite you to join us and bring friends.

Prayers Wanted
Would You be Interested in being on the Prayer Chain? There are some ladies who would like to re-activate the Prayer Chain (a call is made to a person requesting prayer... the call is placed to the next person, and so on). Some people have signed up, but more are needed. Please call Denise Willis (813-2926 if you would like to participate on the Prayer Chain. Thank you.

Fit For Life In Christ Course

"If we all use the same Bible, why are there so many different denominations? What makes the Lutheran Church different than my other Church? What about evolution? Isn't it a proven scientific fact? What can we know about the end of time? What about life issues: Infant Baptism, Divorce, Homosexuality, Abortion? Does God still speak to us today? Is His Word reliable? Is it relevant for the 21st century?"

If these are questions that you have asked, then mark your calendar for our next Fit For Life in Christ session.

Next class Start Date:

TBD - 2015

Fit For Life in Christ is a 10 to 12 week course that presents the Word of God in exciting and meaningful ways. It is a course for those who are interested in membership in our church, or for anyone who wants to know what it really means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

You owe it to yourself and your life with God to register and bring a friend to this enlightening, faith-building opportunity!

Call the church office to register or for more information.
